Keep the three quantities separate
A product specification can list storage capacity, a device screen can show available storage, and an application can request space for an installation or update. These are different figures. RAM is a different resource again. A large memory label does not settle whether a particular installation has room.
For example, NVIDIA expressly notes that part of SHIELD TV Pro’s advertised storage is occupied by system software. The exact available amount on a used device also reflects its installed applications and data. Read that unit’s current value rather than assuming the entire hardware capacity is unused.
Use a hypothetical worksheet
Suppose a device reports 1.2 GB available while an operation says it needs more room. Record those actual messages and units rather than subtracting the app’s advertised download size from the product’s original capacity. Installation and updating can involve space beyond a single download file.
The worksheet should identify the device, current available-space reading, application and operation, and the exact failure text. This example is a way to organize a question, not a measurement of a real device or a promise about a particular installer’s space requirement.
Delete deliberately
LG’s installation guidance includes checking storage and removing unneeded apps when space is full. Before deleting, understand whether local configuration or account access will need to be set up again. Removing an app is a different scope from resetting the television.
If storage becomes available but the listing is still absent, investigate platform or regional availability rather than deleting more data. If the app installs but media fails later, preserve that later result as a separate playback question. The aim is to solve the observed stage without changing unrelated parts of the setup.

Is advertised storage the same as free storage?
No. The system, apps and saved data consume space; read the actual device’s current value.
Will freeing space create an app listing that is not offered for the TV?
