The version requirement is explicit
Google’s accessibility guide says Bounce Keys requires Android 16 or newer. A Google TV interface name alone does not identify the underlying Android version, so check the device before expecting the control.
The feature concerns ignoring repeated presses of the same button within a chosen interval. That is a different task from changing how a held key repeats.
Match the control to the observation
If accidental quick repeats are the difficulty, inspect Bounce Keys where supported. If a held key repeats too soon, inspect the documented Key repeat delay instead. Do not apply both without first identifying the behavior.
Test in a simple list using the intended viewer’s ordinary press. Keep the remote and app fixed so a useful change can be attributed to the relevant timing choice.
Keep hardware faults separate
A software timing aid does not prove a physically sticking button is healthy. If unexpected commands continue across contexts, record that scope and consult the remote’s support guidance.
This article reports Google’s version-gated control and offers a bounded comparison. It does not promise Android 16 on every TV or certify a third-party player’s input behavior.
