Infuse URL integration: test one encoded media address before a playlist

Build an Infuse handoff with correctly encoded values and distinguish launch, playback and completion callbacks.

Check the app developer

Define a small integration contract

An application that hands a video address to Infuse needs more than a button that opens the player. The developer must distinguish whether Infuse launched, whether the requested media opened and whether playback later ended or closed. Firecore publishes a URL-scheme API for third-party integrations; use that documentation rather than a guessed universal deep link.

Begin with one media address you control and have permission to use. Keep it short-lived and free of sensitive account credentials when possible. Record the invoking platform and installed Infuse version. A working browser link is useful source evidence, but it does not prove that the address’s authentication method or media format will work through the player handoff.

Encode values rather than assembling raw query text

Firecore’s API documentation requires URL-encoded parameter values. A media address may itself contain question marks, ampersands or other reserved characters. If those characters are pasted into the outer handoff as raw query syntax, part of the inner address can be misread as another API parameter. The resulting error may appear to be a server failure even though the integration constructed a different address.

Use the host platform’s URL-building facilities to encode each value once. Inspect the final handoff locally with credentials redacted and compare the decoded media value with the original input. Keep display filenames separate from source addresses. Do not treat changing the visible filename as a way to convert the underlying media container or authorize an otherwise inaccessible source.

Prove a single-item path before sequential playback

The API supports multiple media addresses as a temporary sequential playlist. Test that route only after one known item opens correctly. Choose two clearly distinguishable test clips so you can observe which item was reached. Keep their order fixed and record a failure by its actual address position rather than simply reporting that the playlist failed.

Callbacks need separate interpretation. Firecore describes completion information when playback ends or is closed, including the last media address and playback progress. Do not design a per-item billing or completion record around an assumption that the success callback fires after every playlist entry. Test the documented lifecycle in your own integration before using it to update user history.

Keep bookmarks, downloads and availability distinct

The documented save route distinguishes saving a reference from requesting downloads. Choose the operation deliberately and verify the resulting state inside the application. A saved reference still depends on its source being reachable later; it is not evidence that an offline copy exists.

Use one item to check launch, media opening, closing and the received callback before expanding the feature. Retain only the diagnostic fields you need, since callback addresses may contain private tokens. This is an integration procedure based on Firecore’s published API, not a tested IPTV Europe application or a promise that an external service permits deep linking.

Questions answered

Why does a media address work alone but fail in my handoff?

Check whether the address was correctly encoded as a value inside the outer Infuse URL. Reserved characters can otherwise change the constructed request.

Does a playlist success callback prove every item finished?

No. Follow Firecore’s documented completion lifecycle and inspect the returned final address and progress; do not assume a callback for every item.
