Separate iCloud Drive files from library synchronization
iCloud Drive is a file-storage source, while Infuse iCloud synchronization carries library information between devices. Those are different uses of iCloud. A synchronized favorite does not by itself give Apple TV a file browser for every folder in the account.
Firecore documents an iOS route for adding an iCloud Drive folder and a separate file-link workflow for Apple TV. Choose one personal video you are permitted to play and keep its location unchanged for the initial test. Confirm that the relevant devices use the intended iCloud account privately before building the reference.
Add the folder through the iOS file picker
In Infuse on iOS, Firecore’s guide starts with Add Files, the add option and Add Local Folder. Use the Files interface to browse into the intended iCloud Drive folder and choose Open. Adjust the display name if useful, then inspect the added folder in Infuse’s Files or Library section.
Check that the known video is visible and can be opened on that device. A visible folder name is not sufficient evidence that the file is available. Keep the selected folder scope appropriate to the task; adding an unrelated broad directory makes the later Apple TV comparison less clear.
Create the individual link for Apple TV
Firecore says Apple TV does not provide direct iCloud Drive browsing through this route. Its documented workaround uses another device, such as an iPhone, to locate the file in Infuse, long-press it and choose Add to Links. The resulting reference appears in Infuse’s Links section for access from Apple TV.
Use a clearly named single file for this first handoff and inspect the Links section on the television. Then attempt playback and record the actual result. A library reference arriving on the television and the television successfully opening the source are separate milestones. Preserve any specific error rather than repeatedly creating duplicate links.
Account for link lifetime and library inclusion
Firecore’s support page states that generated iCloud Drive links remain valid for 30 days and need to be added again afterward. An old reference that stops working can therefore have a different explanation from a newly created reference that never opened. Keep the creation date with the test notes.
The documentation also describes whether Links are included in the Infuse library through the Library settings. Inspect that presentation choice separately from file access. The expected outcome is one working, understood file reference through the supported workflow; it is not permanent Apple TV folder access or evidence that videos have been copied offline to the television.
Questions answered
Can I browse all iCloud Drive folders directly on Apple TV through this method?
Firecore documents creating individual file links from another device. That is distinct from direct Apple TV folder browsing.
Why might an old generated link need to be added again?
Firecore states a 30-day validity period for these generated iCloud Drive links. Check the link age as a separate condition from a new playback failure.
