IPTVnator fullscreen C shortcut: check player mode, engine and text focus

Open the supported channel or episode panel without confusing application maximization, keyboard search focus and player fullscreen.

Remote control versus touchscreen

Establish the relevant fullscreen surface

The IPTVnator fullscreen guide distinguishes player fullscreen from a maximized application window. Begin with a live channel or series episode actually playing in the supported internal route. A large desktop window alone does not establish that the player’s fullscreen panel can be invoked.

Inspect the installed app version and selected engine. The current guide supports the panel on unified web-player controls and experimental frame-copy embedded MPV, with different boundaries for native-view and external windows. Do not assume the same overlay is available merely because another route also uses mpv.

Check the documented settings and open the panel

Under Settings, Playback, inspect Channel and episode list in fullscreen and, for web playback, Unified controls for web players. Enter fullscreen through the player control, then press C outside a text field or use the video’s left edge.

Keep the first comparison simple. Open the panel, identify the source or episode context and close it without changing media. This verifies the interaction separately from switching a channel. If the keyboard works but the edge interaction does not, retain that narrower pointer-specific result.

Treat search focus as ordinary text entry

The developer says C opens the panel and focuses its search where available; pressing C again can type that character rather than toggle it closed. Use Escape or the close control to dismiss the panel. Inspect where keyboard focus is before diagnosing an unresponsive shortcut.

For an original focus comparison, open the panel, type a short known search term, then close it and click the video before reopening. Record whether the same action works outside the search box. This is a controlled way to distinguish text input from an application command.

Verify a switch only after navigation works

Select a known item and inspect whether the intended channel or episode opens while the player remains fullscreen. The list follows the current source or collection; it is not a search of every account in the library. Confirm the chosen identity before interpreting a different result.

If fullscreen ends, retain the engine, unified-control state and exact switching action. Keep any playback error as a separate event. The successful outcome is a known supported panel interaction, not a promise that every player window uses identical shortcuts.

Questions answered

Does pressing C again always close the list?

No. With search focused, it can enter a character. Use the supported close action or Escape.

Is maximizing the desktop window enough?

The developer distinguishes maximized app layout from player fullscreen. Enter the latter through the player control.

Does an external VLC window show this IPTVnator panel?

No. It belongs to the documented supported internal playback paths, while external players own their windows.
