iWonder Learning Journeys: plan one question across several sessions

Use the guided sequence as a starting point, then make a realistic film-and-notes schedule of your own.

Choose the question before the total

iWonder’s Journeys page presents question-led sequences with films, reading and activities. Pick a question that interests you enough to return to over several sessions. A large total running time is less useful than knowing what you want to understand by the end.

Read the sequence overview and identify its first step. Avoid treating the whole journey as one film to finish in a single evening. This article does not reproduce the provider’s sequence or assert that every listed work is included in your account.

Inspect the next two steps

Check the film, reading or activity that comes next and the access action attached to it. Then inspect the following step so you understand the connection. This keeps the plan manageable without requiring you to investigate every item at once.

Write a short session note: what you will watch, the time you can give it and the question you will carry forward. If the next step needs an access decision, resolve that before the planned session. A journey listing and a film entitlement are different checks.

Leave room for a response

After each film, record one idea you can explain in your own words, one example the film used and one unresolved question. Mark an inference as your own rather than attributing it to the documentary automatically.

If a later step challenges the earlier one, keep both notes. The purpose is a clearer understanding of the question, not making every film agree. These prompts are original editorial guidance and are not a claim that iWonder grades, certifies or verifies your conclusions.

Adjust the schedule deliberately

If a session is too long, divide it at a sensible stopping point using the current player controls and your own note. Keep the intended next step identifiable. A realistic sequence you continue is more useful than a crowded plan abandoned after the first film. Recheck title availability when returning after a long break.
