Inspect the programme information
NextPVR's documentation describes a new-episodes recording choice tied to EPG data. It is not an independent broadcast-history service. Before relying on it, compare a known first showing and a repeat in the guide supplied to your server.
Check what the rule actually schedules
Record the intended channel and inspect several generated pending recordings. If the expected distinction is absent or unreliable in the input data, do not assume the rule will infer it from a familiar title. Preserve the current rule and document the metadata limit.
A useful alternative may be a different explicit scope that your guide supports, but choose it against the actual requirement. Recording all episodes, for example, changes storage and duplicate-review needs. Do not add overlapping rules without checking the combined pending list.
Keep the result attached to the guide source
Record the source, server version and sample events used for the review. Recheck after changing guide data or recurrence settings. No schedule was executed for this article; a saved rule alone is not evidence that its future new/repeat choices are correct.
Questions answered
Does a new-episode rule independently verify broadcast history?
No. Review the documented guide-data requirement and the generated selections.
Does one correctly selected episode establish the whole series rule?
Check several occurrences, including a relevant near match or repeat.
