Find the contested occurrence
NextPVR documents a conflicts view and recurring recordings ordered by priority, with the top representing the highest priority. Start with a specific conflicting time and the rules involved. A priority list is more understandable when it is tied to an actual resource decision.
Write the intended preference
Choose which authorised recording matters more if both cannot be made. Record the existing order, adjust the relevant priority through the installed supported controls and inspect the resulting pending and conflict views. Do not reorder every rule merely because one pair overlaps.
A higher position expresses preference; it does not add a tuner or prove another airing exists. Keep alternative-broadcast assumptions separate from the priority decision and verify any later occurrence the server proposes.
Review the consequence
After the scheduled period, inspect the actual result if conducting this locally. Record whether the preferred item was captured and what happened to the other one. No tuner or recording test was performed for this article, so the guide does not promise that a priority adjustment eliminates every conflict.
Questions answered
Does higher priority increase recording capacity?
No. It expresses a scheduling preference when existing resources are contested.
Should I inspect only the recurring-rule order?
Also inspect the specific pending occurrences and conflicts produced by that policy.
