Find the agreement you are actually managing
Start with the exact NOW membership and the organization collecting payment. NOW’s UK help distinguishes memberships billed directly from those managed through a partner. The app on the television is not an invoice, and the presence of a cancellation button is not the whole contract. Retain the membership name, current term and next relevant dates from the genuine account or partner record. Do not infer the arrangement from an old introductory offer or from a different household’s screenshot. If several products appear in the account, identify which one you intend to end before changing anything.
Separate the request date from the effective date
NOW explains that a cancellation during a minimum term can be submitted before the term ends, while the cancellation itself takes effect at the end of that commitment. Remaining payments and continued viewing therefore need to be read against the actual plan. A monthly billing interval does not by itself mean that the agreement has no longer minimum period. In a hypothetical example, clicking Cancel in the second month of a longer commitment should not be recorded as proof that all further payments have stopped. The confirmation and stated end date are the evidence that resolves the timing.
Keep partner administration on its own route
If a television or telecom partner bills the membership, use the relevant partner instructions rather than repeatedly trying a direct NOW page. A direct-service cancellation guide can be correct for one customer and unsuitable for another purchasing route. Keep the biller’s name with the account reference in a private record. Do not publish card details or a complete statement while asking for help. If the expected management option is missing, report the product and biller first. That question is different from a video that buffers, and changing the player application cannot settle it.
Retain a small confirmation record
After completing the genuine process, keep the confirmation, the effective end date and any stated remaining payment schedule. Check the status of the specific membership rather than assuming that every product or playback upgrade ended together. If the account wording is unclear, ask the identified biller to explain the remaining dates and amounts before making a second purchase. This article does not supply a refund entitlement or replace the agreement. It shows why the action on screen, the date of the request and the end of the commitment should remain three separate entries in a useful account record.
Questions answered
Does a monthly payment always mean a month-to-month agreement?
No. The billing interval and minimum commitment can differ; read the actual membership record.
Who handles a membership bought through a partner?
Follow the relevant partner route when that organization bills or manages the product.
