Identify the three pieces of the move
Moving OTT Navigator to another television or box involves more than installing the application. The developer separates configuration transfer, Premium activation and any provider details saved in the ottnav account. A source subscription has its own access rules and should not be confused with a player entitlement.
Keep the old device available while preparing the new one. Record the application builds, purchase route and the configuration you want to transfer privately. Do not delete the working setup simply because the new device can open the app’s home screen. That only establishes installation, not a complete migration.
Restore the intended configuration first
Use the developer’s backup route on the old installation and restore the chosen configuration on the new one. Compare providers, favorites and relevant settings against a small inventory. If the receiving device already has a setup, inspect the restore scope before replacing it.
Open one authorized source and check a known item. A restored provider name and a successful source login are different results. Keep the source credentials private and use the real supplied access method. The configuration move does not create a new media account or expand the account’s allowed simultaneous connections.
Activate the new device through the actual purchase route
For an ottnav-account entitlement, the developer documents Settings and Premium, signing in, then activating the current device. If all slots are occupied, its migration guide describes removing the old device from the account list. Read the actual device identities before changing that list.
An original example is a household with one retired box and several still-used devices. Remove the retired entry rather than choosing whichever name appears first. The developer distinguishes Huawei AppGallery-managed Premium from the ottnav-account route, so preserve the real purchase provenance instead of assuming every entitlement follows the same sign-in.
Verify before retiring the old installation
Confirm the current device is activated as intended, the expected configuration is present and the source works within its allowed use. Check remote navigation, selected audio and guide data on the new hardware; a restored setting can interact differently with a different display or decoder.
Retain the backup and private account notes until the move is satisfactory. Then update the device inventory with the new name and the retired device. The expected outcome is an understood migration with separate configuration, entitlement and provider results. It does not certify an IPTV Europe account or promise identical playback capability across two boxes.
Questions answered
Does removing the old player device increase my provider’s stream allowance?
No. Player device slots and the media provider’s simultaneous-connection policy are separate arrangements.
