Start at the film record
Pathé’s technology help says available 4K UHD and advanced picture or sound formats are identified on the film page. First check the actual film. A television’s resolution cannot supply a format absent from the title’s offer.
Next inspect the version selected at checkout. Pathé’s UHD instructions include choosing UHD when renting or buying. Keep the order confirmation so you can distinguish an equipment question from a transaction that selected another format.
Follow the complete route to the screen
The provider also requires compatible equipment, a suitable connection and the necessary security support; its checklist specifies HDCP 2.2 for an external device’s HDMI connection. Read the manufacturer’s specifications for the actual equipment you use. A chain can contain several pieces, and the television is only one of them.
Write the route in ordinary words: app or player, external device if any, connection and television. Then check the relevant specifications one stage at a time. This is a preparation method, not a recommendation to replace equipment or a report that your current route has failed.
Keep the symptom separate from the label
If the intended result is unclear, note what you can actually observe and which app route is in use. Do not describe a film as verified UHD merely because the screen is sharp or the poster carries a format badge. A current format label and an observed playback session are different evidence.
For a support enquiry, include the title, selected UHD transaction and equipment route. Avoid changing several settings together: doing so makes it harder to identify which condition mattered. Use the current provider and manufacturer instructions for any device-specific change.
Questions answered
Is a 4K television the whole UHD check?
No. Pathé also identifies the title’s availability, selected transaction and compatible viewing route.
Does this article certify UHD playback on my device?
No. It explains the provider’s checklist without a personal hardware or playback test.
