Build a Qello setlist from individual concert tracks

Use the track-level Add control on the web, then find the named playlist without confusing it with a hearted concert.

Plan a small programme of performances

Qello’s web help distinguishes favouriting a complete concert, favouriting a track and adding tracks to a setlist. Those controls serve different listening plans. For a hypothetical three-performance evening, decide whether you want three whole films or selected songs from their concert track lists. A heart beside a concert does not express the same instruction as a plus beside one song. Begin with a short note of the artist, concert-film edition and track you want. This is especially useful when an artist has several filmed performances containing the same song title; the version is part of the choice.

Find the actual concert and its track listing

Qello’s Browse search accepts an artist, film title or song. Open the intended concert and inspect Tracks before adding anything. Read enough of the film information to distinguish another tour or performance with a similar title. If the exact song is not listed there, searching the catalogue for that song is a different discovery step from assuming every concert by the artist includes it. A setlist is assembled from the tracks offered by the service. It is not an instruction to upload a recording or to extract arbitrary passages from the concert into a new video file.

Choose Add rather than Like for the setlist task

The publisher’s web instructions use the plus Add icon beside a track in the concert’s Tracks section. That prompts creation and naming of a setlist, which appears in My Qello under Playlist. The heart Like action instead places a track or concert in Favorites. Use a name that identifies your intended listening session so it remains recognizable later. After adding the first selection, inspect the resulting playlist before assembling a long programme. Confirm that the saved item is the intended performance, rather than fill a list with similarly named tracks and only discover the wrong concert during the session.

Review the sequence as a viewing plan

Open My Qello and its Playlist section to play the setlist through the documented web route. For the hypothetical three-track plan, compare each entry against the original note: performer, film edition and song. A useful creative sequence might contrast arrangements or performance periods, but those comparisons should follow actual listening rather than an invented review. Keep complete concerts in Favorites if you also want to return to their full context. Neither list is a local offline export or a guarantee of permanent catalogue availability. This distinction lets one account hold a full-concert shortlist and a separate focused track programme without treating them as duplicate lists.

Questions answered

Does liking a Qello concert create a track setlist?

No. The web help places liked items in Favorites; the track-level plus Add action creates the setlist under Playlist.

Can I search by a song as well as an artist?

Yes. Qello’s web guidance lists artist name, film title and song as search inputs.
