A playback queue can be out of order while every recording is present

Compare the queue, played sequence and shuffle state before reporting that an authorised recording disappeared.

A favourite is a player function

Separate presence from playback order

A queue contains items, while its playback mode can determine which item comes next. Shuffle is one documented example in VLC for Android's audio player. A programme or lesson being skipped in the observed sequence does not automatically mean it is absent from the queue. Check the list and active mode before deleting the source or asking for account replacement.

Use the actual player's documentation. A list can be sorted, shuffled or started from a remembered position through different features. These are not interchangeable explanations. Record the list order, current item and next item, then inspect the relevant control rather than assigning a cause from one unexpected transition.

A hypothetical three-lesson session

Suppose a viewer has three authorised audio lessons arranged as introduction, demonstration and review. After the introduction, the player starts the review. The demonstration still appears in the queue. This is an order problem to investigate, not evidence that the file was removed. A documented shuffle state would be relevant; an absent shuffle feature would require another explanation.

Choose a short nonessential sample and turn off the documented random-order mode if sequential viewing or listening is the goal. Confirm the intended queue arrangement and observe the next transition. Do not repeatedly rebuild a private playlist before checking whether the player is deliberately choosing a nonsequential next item.

A remembered start position is a separate question. Beginning a later session on lesson three is not by itself proof that all subsequent items will be shuffled. Preserve whether the surprise occurred at initial opening or at a next-item transition. This distinction makes the report more useful without needing access-bearing source URLs.

Verify the intended sequence

Select the first intended item, move to the next through the supported control and confirm the expected content. Check the actual recording, not only its label. A mislabeled file can look like an order problem even when the player follows its queue correctly. Keep source identity and player order as separate checks.

A useful support note contains the visible queue, active playback mode, action and resulting item. Hide private paths or tokens from public images. The goal is predictable navigation through the authorised material. A familiar queue name or a correct item count alone does not establish the sequence the player will follow.

Questions answered

Does one unexpected next item prove a recording is missing?

No. Check whether the item remains in the queue and inspect the player's documented order mode.

Is starting at a remembered later item the same as shuffle?

No. Session resume and next-item order are separate behaviours that need separate observations.
