A ServusTV On Play button can open a trailer before the full programme

Check publication stage, broadcast timing and the exact media entry before troubleshooting the player.

Identify the video that actually started

A moving preview is not the same item as a complete programme, even when both appear under a familiar series name. ServusTV On’s FAQ directly addresses a Play button opening only a trailer and explains that a trailer can be shown before the full video is ready. Start by noting the entry’s label, duration and whether it describes an upcoming broadcast. The player may be doing exactly what that entry offers. Reinstalling the app cannot turn a promotional clip into a programme that has not yet been published.

Read the broadcast and publication context

The service says a programme is generally playable in the media library after broadcast, while live streams are a separate case. Compare the actual schedule and programme page rather than assuming that every card becomes a full replay as soon as it appears in search. In a hypothetical viewing plan, a household finding next week’s documentary preview should not promise to watch the full film that evening. Keep the programme title and intended broadcast date with the link. That makes it easier to revisit the right entry after publication instead of repeatedly opening a short promotional video.

Separate later expiry from early publication

The same FAQ explains that some media-library content is available only for a limited period because of rights. An entry checked too early and a programme checked after its available window are different cases. Do not use an old saved link as proof that the full video remains accessible today. If the full programme was previously present, note when it was last seen and inspect the current page. Avoid inventing a universal replay duration or promising a download as a backup; the service’s FAQ says it does not offer a download function for its media-library programmes.

Report a technical fault only after identifying an available full item

If the current entry is clearly the full programme and it fails after Play, retain the exact title, device and error. A report that a short trailer plays while the full programme fails can be useful, provided both entries are identified. It should not be shortened into a claim that all videos are broken. If the question is instead when the full item will be published or whether it has expired, ask that availability question through the official route. This sequence makes room for the actual editorial stages—preview, live transmission and available replay—before assigning a software diagnosis to every Play button.
