Distinguish the code from the established connection
SS IPTV documents a temporary code from Settings, General, Get code. Its upload guide gives that code a 24-hour validity limit or until a new one is generated. The editor separately says that an established device connection persists until it is disconnected on the editor or television side.
These statements describe two different stages. A code can expire for creating a connection while an already connected editor still recognizes the television. Do not regenerate a code after every edit simply because the original code is old. First inspect whether the intended device is already connected in the official editor.
Check the device before making a change
Open the editor on a computer you control and inspect its current target. When maintaining several televisions, use a private device label that is distinguishable from a channel-list title. A familiar list name alone is weak evidence because two devices may legitimately use the same source.
For a controlled check, choose one reversible presentation change in a small list and note its original value. Save once, inspect the intended television and restore the value if the change was only diagnostic. The question is whether this editor connection reaches this device, not whether another device happens to show a similar catalogue.
Create a new connection only when needed
If there is no applicable connection, obtain a fresh code from the intended television and enter it at the official editor’s Add Device control. Keep the television and editor interaction close together so a later-generated code does not supersede the one in use. Avoid publishing the code in a request for help.
If a fresh code does not establish the connection, record which screen rejected it and whether another code had been generated in the meantime. A code-entry failure is earlier than playlist upload and playback. Replacing a working media URL cannot answer a failed device-pairing question.
End access deliberately after a handover
The editor exposes Disconnect Device, and its documentation identifies disconnection as the end of the persistent link. When finishing a maintenance session on a shared computer, consider whether that browser should retain the ability to edit the television. Use the documented disconnect control when the work no longer requires it.
After a deliberate disconnect, treat a later edit as a new connection task and obtain the current code from the proper device. Keep any retained playlist file separate from this connection state. The file is a configuration source; the connection is the route used to apply it.
Questions answered
Must I generate a new code for every upload?
The editor says an established connection remains until disconnected. Inspect the existing target before creating another connection.
Does the code’s 24-hour limit automatically describe an established editor session?
No. The upload guide describes code validity, while the editor separately describes connection persistence. Keep those stages distinct.
