Separate presentation from playback
SS IPTV documents its own M3U extensions for tile presentation. Playlist-level size, background and description values can establish defaults, with item-level values overriding them. These extensions are app-specific; another M3U player may interpret them differently or ignore them.
Start with a list that already opens and contains a few authorized, working items. Preserve an unchanged copy. Styling a broken stream makes it harder to tell whether the later result concerns layout or media access. A more attractive tile does not change the service entitlement or the encoded video.
Plan a small inheritance example
For an original layout exercise, give a short list one ordinary default appearance and choose a single item that needs a larger tile. Keep a note of the intended default and that item’s exception. Apply the documented default at the playlist level and the exception at the relevant item without changing the other source lines.
After loading the result, compare the exception with an untouched neighbour. If both look the same, inspect the placement and scope of the attributes before changing several values. If only the intended item changes, the small comparison gives a useful basis for extending the design.
Check description visibility at the chosen size
The developer describes item descriptions as visible on medium or big tiles and documents small, medium and big sizes. Choose the presentation for the information the viewer needs. A long description on a small tile should not be used as a test that the content itself failed to load.
Use a short, distinguishable description on the one test item and inspect the result at the intended size. Check readability from the actual viewing position when you perform the comparison. Do not claim that a desktop screenshot establishes television legibility or that a colour choice is accessible without examining its contrast and context.
Keep a portable source and an app-specific presentation copy
If the same source is used in several players, preserve a clean source record and identify the SS IPTV presentation copy. This keeps an app-specific layout convention from becoming an unexplained dependency in another client. Record the accepted layout with the app version and television model.
Expand only the settings that the small example demonstrated. A useful final check confirms the expected tile, the correct item identity and unchanged playback. If the layout differs on another television, compare its actual app and rendering support instead of rewriting the media addresses.
