Identify where the programme came from
A Tivify programme can be opened through recent catch-up, an actual recording or another available entry. Before relying on Continue Watching, note which route supplied it. Tivify’s help distinguishes the Last 7 Days section, called U7D in Spanish, from recorded content. A saved resume point is useful navigation, but it is not by itself proof that the programme has been recorded. Start with the channel, programme and original broadcast entry so that the household can identify the same work later. A generic poster may not reveal which instance of a repeated programme you selected.
Treat the catch-up window as a separate deadline
The publisher’s U7D help describes recent broadcasts on channels supporting that function and says content leaves that section after its window. Its Continue Watching article explicitly warns that a non-recorded item disappears after seven days. In a hypothetical viewing plan, starting half of a documentary late in its catch-up period should not be treated as reserving the rest indefinitely. Check the current entry and available dates before delaying the second half. The resume marker records where you stopped; it does not necessarily change the programme’s availability conditions.
Verify a recording rather than assuming one exists
If the plan depends on later viewing, use Tivify’s actual recording function where the channel, programme and current plan permit it, then inspect the relevant recordings area. Do not assume every channel or plan offers the same controls. The service’s Android channel-menu guidance expressly notes that features vary by channel and plan. Keep the recording result separate from a button press or a programme added to a viewing list. If the interface does not offer recording, consult the current plan and programme information rather than install another player expecting it to create a cloud entitlement.
Make a realistic return-to-viewing note
A useful note contains the programme, broadcast date, source entry, resume position and whether a recording was actually confirmed. That can be as short as one line in a household calendar. If the programme later disappears, this record helps distinguish an expired catch-up entry from an unexpected missing recording. Report the correct case with the actual account and channel context through the official route. Avoid presenting a previously visible Continue Watching card as a promise of permanent access. The distinction preserves a simple expectation: progress memory helps you resume content while that content remains available under its own conditions.
Questions answered
Does a Continue Watching entry prove the programme was recorded?
No. Verify the actual recording in the recordings area; a resume point and a recording are different records.
Are U7D and recording features identical on every channel and plan?
Do not assume that. Tivify documents channel and plan differences for these functions.
