Understand the deletion consequence
Tvheadend's finished-recording documentation says Delete removes associated files as well as selected records. If a permitted copy must survive, complete and verify that copy before treating Delete as a list-cleaning action.
Check the actual saved file
Use the documented Download route available in the installed interface, then confirm the destination and file identity. Compare title, time and expected content with the selected server recording. A notification that a download finished is not proof that the intended broadcast was saved correctly.
Open the independent file on the intended local player if conducting the review. Check representative content, including the ending. Retain the server original until the copy meets the requirement and the retention decision is explicit.
Confirm only the intended selection
Before deletion, inspect the selected rows and the confirmation shown by the current version. Keep a short record of the retained copy and its checks. No download or deletion was performed for this article; it describes a review boundary for an administrator handling material they may retain.
Questions answered
Is Delete only a database tidy-up action here?
The checked documentation includes associated media files in its deletion consequence.
Does a completed browser notification verify the recording copy?
No. Check the file's identity and usable content independently.
