WeTV auto-unlock spends existing Coins, not an automatic recharge

Inspect the per-series option and My Coins settings before continuing paid episodes under the published January 2026 workflow.

Separate the episode choice from the membership renewal

WeTV’s terms updated on 22 January 2026 distinguish paid subscriptions from episodes acquired using Coins. They describe an optional automatic-charge setting for later episodes in a particular series. Begin with the actual action offered on the selected episode: a subscription, a Coin purchase or that per-series automatic-unlock choice. A drama playing its free opening episodes does not establish that every later episode has the same access state. Keep the series and episode identity with the transaction decision, particularly when different editions or similarly named series appear in the catalogue.

Read the checkbox before confirming a paid episode

The published workflow presents the paid-episode popup together with an option for subsequent episodes in the same series. Selecting that checkbox activates the automatic-charge service for that series. Treat it as an ongoing series preference, rather than merely a label describing the current episode. Inspect the displayed Coin price and corresponding currency value before confirming. If you intend to decide about each later episode individually, review that option deliberately. This guide does not assert that every interface has the same layout, that the option is preselected, or that every series uses Coins; it describes the verifiable published mechanism.

Distinguish enough Coins from a new top-up

The terms say this automatic charge operates only when the account holds sufficient Coins. With an insufficient balance, the described mechanism does not deduct Coins or automatically recharge through stored payment methods. That is a boundary on this feature, not a promise that every other account transaction or subscription renewal has stopped. If access pauses at a paid episode, inspect the actual balance, offered episode and selected series preference before calling it a streaming failure. A hypothetical household note can keep the episode offer, balance observed and auto-unlock state together without exposing payment details or treating Coins as a separate viewing subscription.

Manage the series preference and check changes independently

WeTV identifies Account, then My Coins, or a similar provided mechanism as the route for declining automatic charges. Review the current series preference there. The same terms say a price change for a series with automatic charging enabled switches that series setting off. Do not treat a stopped unlock after such a change as proof that the membership itself expired. Conversely, turning off episode auto-unlock should not be recorded as cancellation of an independently renewing subscription. Retain the precise account action and any confirmation. For Coin refund or expiry questions, consult the conditions attached to the actual offer and ask about the specific transaction rather than infer those rules from the auto-unlock preference.

Questions answered

Does WeTV’s described auto-unlock recharge Coins automatically when the balance is insufficient?

The January 2026 terms say it does not recharge through stored payment methods under that mechanism.

Is disabling per-series auto-unlock the same as cancelling a renewing subscription?

No. The terms describe the series preference and paid-subscription renewal as separate arrangements.
