The app migration did not merge every search task
ERR’s 2025 notice directs television viewers from separate ETV, ETV2 and ETV+ applications to Jupiter. It describes a recent programme-guide route and a broader catalogue route. The notice also identifies a limitation: ETV+ material is available through the TV guide, while broader ETV+ discovery belongs on Jupiter+.
This is a dated official description of the transition, not a guarantee that every detail of the current interface remains identical. It is useful because an empty TV search and a missing broadcast are different observations. Before concluding that an ETV+ programme is absent, check which route you are using.
For a known broadcast, begin with channel and day
If you remember when a programme aired, open the appropriate channel’s guide and choose the date. Compare the full programme title and stated time. ERR’s notice describes up to 14 days of guide-based replay; actual programme availability still needs to be checked on the selected entry.
Keep the original airing separate from a repeat. If a household watched a late repeat, the programme’s catalogue record may use another edition date. Use the title and the programme’s own details to confirm the match rather than assuming the first time visible in the guide identifies the production.
For a subject or older series, use the catalogue
When the date is unknown, a catalogue search or programme collection is the better starting point. Retain the original title and use the appropriate language destination. For ETV+ programmes outside the recent guide route, the official notice points to Jupiter+ rather than the same TV-app search behaviour described for ETV and ETV2.
A catalogue can contain seasons, separate years and individual reports. Inspect the result’s structure before choosing: one clip may contain the story you remember while the complete edition contains the surrounding discussion. Decide which you need.
Keep the old app until the replacement is understood
ERR says previously installed channel applications may continue working while no longer receiving support. That is different from a current recommendation to use them. Follow the official Jupiter route and confirm that your intended programme can be found there before relying on an old icon for future sessions.
Save a programme link, channel and edition date after finding the item. Those details survive a menu reorganization better than a sequence such as second row, third tile. They also make it possible to distinguish an actual availability change from a different search surface.
Questions answered
Does no ETV+ result in the TV search prove the recording is absent?
No. The migration notice distinguishes the guide route and the broader Jupiter+ catalogue.
Did ERR promise continued support for the old separate channel apps?
No. The notice ends support while explaining that installed copies may still work.
