Channel identity

Read a specific day rather than preserving the launch timetable
The Swedish-language guide for 4 November 2026 shows Fem material, a Teema-labelled daytime window and a later Fem marker within the same column. It also identifies individual programme titles and dated news editions. This is a useful current example of the shared structure, not a permanent promise that every future day follows those exact appointments.
The 2017 launch article contains its own contemporary weekly timings. Keep those as history when researching an older recording. For a current reminder, the actual dated guide takes priority over a launch-era graphic, particularly if a special event or programme selection changes the usual sequence.
TV-nytt is a programme request, not a general language setting
Yle’s Finnish and Swedish guide surfaces both identify Yle Nyheter TV-nytt inside the shared channel’s programme. Retain TV-nytt and the edition date when seeking that bulletin. Switching the guide’s interface language does not, by itself, select a different transmission or replace a programme’s spoken audio.
The distinction also works in reverse: a programme title displayed in Swedish can be the translated listing for a production with its own original speech. Inspect the selected item’s language and available text options. The Teema or Fem window is useful context, but it is not a complete specification of every soundtrack in every programme.
Keep the programme window with an archive search
For a full recording, use the exact series or bulletin title and date from the guide, then check the item’s duration. A collection of highlights or a separate culture interview can concern the same programme without containing its complete broadcast. The combined channel column is a schedule, rather than one on-demand recording of the whole day.
A practical saved note includes Yle Teema Fem, the Teema or Fem window if relevant, the programme title and its originating date. Preserve the displayed time basis before converting it to the viewer’s location. That is enough to distinguish a genuine missing item from an expected change of programme identity on the shared linear service.
Questions answered
Do YLE TEEMA and YLE FEM markers always require two receiver channels?
No. Yle’s current guide places their programme windows in one combined channel column.
Should I use the 2017 launch schedule for today’s reminder?
No. Use the current dated guide; the launch timetable describes its own period.
