Ålands Radio and TV is not one interchangeable media feed
Ålands Radio and TV describes production and distribution responsibilities, while its website and ÅRTV Play include radio, programmes and news. Keep the medium with the requested item. A radio live stream or podcast does not automatically provide television pictures merely because TV appears in the organisation’s name.
The broadcaster’s television-frequency page lists Ålandskanalen alongside Swedish and Finnish television services carried through Smedsböle. Retain the exact channel name when choosing a programme. A Finland or Sweden category alone does not identify the local Åland service or the receiving arrangement.
Terrestrial HD reception and operator IPTV have different requirements
The broadcaster’s current frequency information identifies DVB-T2 support for its listed terrestrial HD services. That is a requirement of that receiving route, not a universal setting for every internet player. Check the actual television or receiver’s capabilities when using an aerial-based arrangement.
Ålcom separately publishes positions for its IPTV channel lineup. A position there belongs to the operator package and should not be assumed to be the same as a terrestrial channel number. Keep the channel identity, reception method and current guide together when asking why a programme cannot be found.
Ålandskanalen can carry complete parliamentary proceedings
Ålands Radio and TV has published recordings of the Lagting budget debate and describes distribution through Ålandskanalen, its app and website. A complete sitting has a different scope from a news story about the debate. Keep the day of proceedings and recording date when looking for a particular speaker.
A broadcast of a specific public event does not establish that every radio programme becomes television or that every meeting remains in an unlimited archive. Inspect the actual video and duration. An article’s Swedish text is also different from the audio or caption options on the selected recording.
The app’s stated functions and programme language need an item-level check
The current ÅRTV Play information describes radio listening, podcasts, programmes and news and asks previous users to update after its rebuild. Use the present official app route and publisher instead of relying on an old version or assuming all controls are unchanged.
For a live appointment expressed in Åland local time, retain the date and use Europe/Mariehamn as the originating calendar location. If checking another provider, specify Ålandskanalen or the actual programme source, the desired Swedish or other language presentation and live-or-recorded access. A broadcaster name, operator package and app label do not establish the same programme catalogue or every overseas viewing right.
Questions answered
Is a DVB-T2 requirement an internet-player setting?
No. It concerns the listed terrestrial receiving route. Match instructions to the actual aerial receiver or IPTV product.
Does ÅRTV Play’s radio route provide a television channel?
Not by itself. Identify the selected medium and particular programme or event recording.
