RTNB presents numbered television and radio choices
Radio Télévision Nationale du Burundi’s official homepage displays Chaîne 1 and Chaîne 2 live television players. It also has a separate Radio FM area with Première Chaîne and Deuxième Chaîne audio services. Channel numbers therefore need their medium as well as the RTNB identity.
A request for “RTNB channel two” can remain ambiguous if it does not say television or radio. Keep the displayed label and the programme title together. If an audio player opens, first check which route was selected rather than assuming that a television feed has lost its picture.
A French news article is not automatically French video audio
The RTNB website publishes French-language news reports alongside its live-player areas. That establishes the language of the written report, but it does not establish the spoken language of every television programme or an alternative audio track in the player.
If Kirundi, French or another language is essential, identify the actual bulletin or programme and inspect it. Preserve the original title and date where available. A translated summary of an interview can help explain its subject without being a complete translated recording of the interview itself.
Joint radio and television events still have distinct media routes
RTNB has reported public programmes carried on national radio and public television, including editions with remote participation. A shared event can therefore have more than one distribution route. A radio recording may provide the discussion while a television version also includes visual material.
For a programme you want in full, retain its title, guest or subject and broadcast date. A later news report about the discussion is a different item. The presence of a public-event article beside a live player does not prove that the event is happening now or that its complete recording is available in that player.
Player support messages and programme availability differ
The homepage’s embedded players can display browser-support messages for HLS video or audio. Such a message describes the playback environment; it should not automatically be interpreted as a demand for payment or evidence that a channel has closed. Open the current official page in a supported browser and read any programme-specific notice separately.
For another television provider, specify RTNB television Chaîne 1 or Chaîne 2 and an example programme, your viewing location and intended screen. Keep live viewing separate from a request for a recording. For a date-specific reminder, use Africa/Bujumbura as the originating location. A Burundi category alone cannot resolve the television channel, bulletin language and media format.
