RTI Play is the platform; the channel still matters

RTI Play presents television and radio programmes, live viewing and a programme grid under one web service. Its name should not replace the channel name in a viewing request. A person asking for RTI Play may mean a linear channel, a saved programme or a radio item, which require different searches.

Begin by recording RTI 1, RTI 2 or La 3 when that is the broadcaster's actual label. Then add the programme title and the intended viewing format. Keeping the channel and platform in separate fields makes it easier to compare a broadcaster announcement with an entry in a television guide without treating every RTI-branded item as the same feed.

RTI 1 and La 3 have different editorial identities

RTI's published descriptions associate RTI 1 with general information, education and entertainment. La 3 is presented around music and sport, with magazines, series, talk shows and specialist news among its programming. These identities provide useful discovery context, especially when a viewer remembers a programme's subject but not its exact title.

The distinction does not establish a particular day's line-up. A musical performance might be a scheduled show, a short extract or an archived special. A sporting topic might be a studio discussion rather than a full event. Use the specific programme announcement to move from a broad channel description to something a viewer can actually identify.

Preserve Ivorian titles and programme-language needs

A French-language interface is helpful for navigating RTI's pages, but it cannot establish the spoken language, subtitles or audio choices for every programme. If the aim is a programme in an Ivorian language, keep the original title and the actual language requirement alongside the channel name. Do not reduce that need to a country flag.

The same applies to news editions and regional subjects. A clip about a locality is not automatically a regional channel or an entire local-language bulletin. Save the publisher's programme description and the edition date when available. These details are more useful than an informal title attached to a reposted social video.

Use the programme grid as a dated reference

RTI Play exposes a programme-grid route, but a page link alone does not confirm that its player or schedule is available on a particular device. For an appointment programme, establish the calendar date, full channel and time basis from the current publisher listing. Use Africa/Abidjan for a listing explicitly expressed in Ivorian local time.

For a replay, record the programme's edition date and distinguish it from its upload date. For sport, require a fixture-level announcement rather than assuming that La 3's sport focus covers every competition. The official references identify RTI services and the publisher's viewing routes; they do not establish their carriage through IPTV Europe, a subscription entitlement or permission for every programme to be shown abroad.

Questions answered

Is RTI Play a separate linear channel?

It is RTI’s viewing platform. Identify the selected channel, radio service or replay programme within it.

Does La 3’s sport description guarantee a particular fixture?

No. Check a dated programme announcement for the event, named channel and live or recorded format.

Does a French menu establish the programme’s audio language?

No. Verify the actual edition and its spoken language, subtitles or available audio options separately.
