Keep the complete ČT label

Česká televize uses distinct channel identities rather than one generic Czech television feed. A numbered service, the ČT24 news identity, ČT sport and ČT art should retain their labels when matching a programme. Diacritics and punctuation can help distinguish the intended entry, especially in a mixed international list.

ČT :D and ČT art also need their programme context. A children’s entry and a cultural entry are not alternative spellings for the same editorial offering. If a distribution list combines labels, compare the actual schedule and time rather than assuming that the whole service should show one genre throughout the day.

iVysílání is a platform with selected live and recorded material

The broadcaster’s help describes iVysílání as its online service for selected live television and programmes. A catalogue item, a linear channel and an additional online transmission are separate resources. A programme being described on the website does not by itself establish that its full video is currently playable.

For a series, retain the episode and date. For sport, preserve the event and session as well as the channel label. The current programme guide also distinguishes online transmissions such as ČT sport Plus, so a dedicated event entry should not be collapsed into the main continuous sports channel.

Read format labels for the actual route

Česká televize’s programme pages warn that television picture or sound properties can differ from the recording in iVysílání. A format symbol in the linear schedule should therefore not be carried over as an untested claim about the online version.

This applies when checking subtitles, audio description or an original-language performance. Inspect the available controls on the actual item. A Czech interface does not create a Czech dub, and the presence of text on a broadcast edition does not prove the same track is exposed by every app or distribution route.

Describe the right mismatch

If the title is wrong, start with the service and guide edition. If the title is correct but a required audio or text option differs, preserve that narrower observation. If playback fails, note the visible message and where loading stopped rather than changing credentials before identifying the selected item.

A precise Czech viewing enquiry includes the complete ČT service, programme or event, date and required version. It uses the broadcaster’s own listing as the identity reference without treating that listing as a promise about an unrelated account or catalogue.

Questions answered

Does a television format symbol guarantee the same feature in iVysílání?

No. ČT’s programme information says the recorded online version can differ.

Is ČT sport Plus always the same resource as the continuous ČT sport channel?

Keep the dedicated online transmission and the linear channel separate.

What detail distinguishes recurring programme results?

The complete title, episode or edition, and date.
