Viewing location
ENTV identifies a broadcaster, not one interchangeable feed
Algeria's official Media Gateway links the public television organisation EPTV to entv.dz and lists several distinct services. The directory includes the second channel, the third news channel, the Amazigh service, the Quran channel and the terrestrial television service. A broad ENTV label therefore needs more detail before it can identify the programme a viewer actually wants.
Keep the complete broadcaster channel name from a current programme listing. If a receiver uses an old number, a French label or an Arabic title, retain that wording and compare it with the official identity. Do not decide that two entries are identical merely because they share a public-broadcaster logo.
An Amazigh request needs the actual programme and edition
The official gateway names an Amazigh television service, and ENTV's own Amazigh programme category includes original-script titles. This gives a specific destination for discovering Amazigh programming without assuming a universal audio option on every Algerian public channel. The programme or language edition still needs to be identified.
Preserve the publisher's original Arabic or Tifinagh spelling when available, then add a transliteration separately if it helps a family member search. Different spellings can refer to the same programme, while a translated generic title can select something else. For Arabic- or French-language viewing, confirm the actual spoken programme rather than using the language of a website menu as an audio specification.
Specialist public channels answer different viewing tasks
The public directory separately lists knowledge, memory and parliamentary services, alongside youth and international identities. These names are useful context for a viewer seeking educational material, historical programming or parliamentary coverage. They should remain distinct from a general news bulletin that happens to discuss the same subject.
For parliament, decide whether the need is complete proceedings, a debate extract or a news account of a decision. For a historical programme, retain its title and episode date rather than confusing an anniversary news report with the documentary itself. A specialist channel description is a starting point for discovery, not an assurance that every programme in that subject area is available at any moment.
Retain the Algerian schedule date and distribution route
A terrestrial service, an international-labelled service and a publisher's online video page describe different viewing routes or identities. None can be substituted automatically for another when confirming a particular programme. Record the full service, title, calendar date and whether the item is live, a scheduled repeat or a separately published replay.
Use Africa/Algiers when the schedule is explicitly in Algerian local time. Convert the dated entry into the viewer's own calendar rather than applying a permanent remembered difference from a European city. These primary references establish Algeria's public channel identities and published categories; they do not establish IPTV Europe carriage, regional rights, selectable audio tracks or access through a particular subscription.
Questions answered
Is ENTV a precise channel request?
It identifies the public broadcaster but can refer to several services. Add the complete channel and programme name.
Does an Amazigh service mean all public channels have an Amazigh audio track?
No. Identify the actual Amazigh programme or service; selectable audio is a separate feature that needs verification.
What should I retain for a parliamentary programme?
Keep the named service, session or subject, broadcast date and whether you need proceedings, an extract or a news report.
