Kringvarp has distinct television and radio programme routes

Kringvarp Føroya’s website separates Sjón video material from Ljóð audio and has a shared programme directory. Keep the medium with the programme name. A result from the broadcaster’s site can be television, radio or written reporting, and those formats should not be counted as interchangeable channels.

The programme directory uses labels distinguishing television and radio productions. Inspect the actual item after selecting it, especially when a familiar subject appears in both. A radio discussion may contain the conversation you want without the television images, while a news article can be a separate summary of the same event.

Dagur og vika needs its edition date

Dagur og vika is a named Kringvarp television news programme with dated editions. Retain that title and the recording date when searching for a report. A Faroese word translated simply as news or current affairs is a weaker identifier than the original programme title and edition.

The site also publishes radio news as Útvarpstíðindi. A same-day radio bulletin can cover similar stories without being the television edition. If the complete video bulletin is needed, choose the actual Dagur og vika recording rather than assuming that any news result from Kringvarp provides it.

The sign-interpreted version has its own label

Kringvarp lists Dagur og vika við 3-2 with a teknmálstulkað label identifying the sign-interpreted version. Preserve that wording when accessibility is essential. It is a more useful request than asking broadly for a channel with subtitles or assuming every recording has identical presentation.

Check the selected edition and its available controls before planning a viewing session. A sign-interpreted version, a caption track and a translated written article are different accessibility formats. The existence of one named version does not establish that every programme in the broadcaster’s archive offers the same choices.

A technical stream listing is not permission to redistribute

Kringvarp publishes online viewing information and technical stream choices, including a selection marked for the Faroe Islands. Read the location label and use the broadcaster’s permitted current route. The presence of a stream address should not be treated as a promise that every programme can be embedded or redistributed by another service.

For a live appointment, retain the schedule date and use Atlantic/Faroe as the originating calendar location. For replay, keep the programme and version label. If asking another provider, specify Kringvarp television, the programme and accessibility need, and your location. A Denmark category or a Faroese flag does not establish the exact local programme or every episode’s viewing conditions.

Questions answered

Is Útvarpstíðindi the same recording as Dagur og vika?

No. One identifies radio news and the other television news. Choose the medium and date you need.

How do I identify the sign-interpreted news version?

Keep the broadcaster’s teknmálstulkað label with the programme title and edition date.
