RTHK’s current channel numbers are part of the identity
Radio Television Hong Kong’s current site and television-app information name RTHK TV31, TV32, TV33, TV34 and TV35. Retain the number when matching a programme. RTHK identifies the broadcaster, while a numbered television service identifies the schedule or live selection you actually chose.
Older app pages and institutional documents can describe fewer channels or a previous selection. Use the present television page and current app instructions for a new viewing check. A historical channel list can be accurate for its date without being a complete description of today’s menu.
Website language and programme edition are separate choices
RTHK offers Chinese and English website information and publishes named programmes such as Hong Kong Connection and The Current. An English interface helps navigation, but it does not establish the audio or subtitles of every programme. Inspect the exact episode or bulletin and retain the required language in your notes.
Use the current programme page to confirm its named channel and edition. A programme can move between schedules or have different language presentations. A favourite, subscription and downloaded episode do different jobs
RTHK’s published app functions distinguish saving a favourite, subscribing to a programme and downloading an episode. A favourite helps you return to an item, while a programme subscription can flag new video updates. Neither should be assumed to mean that the media file has been stored for offline playback.
For offline viewing, follow the actual download function and confirm the episode in the downloads area before travelling. These are features of the broadcaster’s own application. A channel entry in an unrelated television player does not establish the same programme subscriptions, downloads or archive controls.
Choose the present official app and the intended live item
RTHK has published material using both RTHK SCREEN and RTHK TV naming. Follow the current official app page and verify the store publisher rather than relying on an old screenshot or an app with a similar name. Device requirements and compatibility need a current check on the actual device.
For another provider, request the specific numbered RTHK television service and give an example programme, your location and whether live or recorded viewing is needed. Use Asia/Hong_Kong for a date-specific local-time calendar entry. A Hong Kong category, broadcaster badge or working website menu does not establish every programme’s playback, language options or overseas availability.
