Viewing location
KAN and Makan should stay distinct in a request
The country directory identifies KAN 11 as a television service. KAN’s own Arabic-television commissioning material identifies Makan as its Arabic television context. A general KAN or Israel TV label can therefore omit a language and service distinction that is central to the viewing task.
Start with the actual channel or programme source. If the viewer wants an Arabic-language Makan programme, do not replace it with a Hebrew-language programme on a related organization’s site merely because the topic is similar. The organization name is not the whole media identity.
Use programme and medium together
A radio interview, a television edition and a digital clip can share a subject or presenter while remaining different resources. Retain whether the requirement is full television, audio or a short news report. This is more informative than asking for an unspecified public-media stream.
For a programme found through a clip, use its original title and broadcast/publication date to locate the complete item. If subtitles are important, identify the actual programme version and text language. A translation in the surrounding page does not prove that the same text is available as a player track.
Hebrew and Arabic are not interchangeable track labels
State the spoken-language requirement directly, then state any subtitle or caption need separately. A service can carry multilingual material without every title having an identical set of tracks. Check the programme and the supported controls on the device you intend to use.
The viewer’s app-menu language is another layer. Changing navigation does not necessarily change dialogue or captions. If a track label and the actual audio disagree, retain the title, selected label and result for a specific report rather than altering every language setting at once.
Keep the Jerusalem date in the schedule
Asia/Jerusalem is the directory’s time-zone identifier. For a live programme, preserve the broadcaster’s date and stated schedule context before converting to the actual viewing location. Seasonal rules should be handled as dated information, not a fixed difference copied from a previous programme.
A domestic listing, an international repeat and a digital publication can describe different times. Retain the intended version when a title appears under another day after conversion. A guide mismatch should be checked against that exact service before changing global clock settings.
Use an official route for the exact item
Begin with the actual KAN/Makan programme destination and its current supported application information. A broadcaster name inside a generic player does not establish official software, rights or a complete current catalogue. Access arrangements remain separate from the channel identity.
For IPTV Europe, identify KAN 11, Makan or the precise alternative, then give the programme/date, spoken/text requirement, viewing country and device. This guide addresses a practical source and language distinction without implying a local office, political endorsement or universal carriage of public-media services.
