LBCI and Al Jadeed are different editorial destinations

LBCI and Al Jadeed each publish their own live and on-demand television material. A general Lebanon folder can contain both identities, but that does not make their programmes interchangeable. Begin with the broadcaster named on the show announcement, then keep the original Arabic programme title.

This matters for political interviews, morning programmes and news bulletins that cover the same subject. Similar guests or headlines do not prove that two clips belong to the same programme. The broadcaster, presenter and original title together are better identifiers than a translated topic alone.

LBCI records season, duration and broadcast date

LBCI’s on-demand page displays programme editions with running times, broadcast dates and, where applicable, season labels. Use those fields when returning to a discussion or series. A programme title may stay in use for years, so it cannot identify a particular interview without an edition or date.

Keep a full recording separate from a short segment. An excerpt can carry the same guest and programme branding as the complete episode, yet omit the surrounding discussion. If a complete programme is important, compare the listed duration and description rather than assuming a familiar thumbnail is sufficient.

Al Jadeed’s latest episodes are not one continuous channel

Al Jadeed presents news, drama, entertainment and social-programme collections alongside current episodes. A page featuring today’s material can therefore be an on-demand collection rather than the live channel. Select the live player deliberately when you want the schedule as it runs.

For drama, record the season and episode number as well as the title. For current affairs, use the dated edition. Arabic month names and numeric dates may appear in different parts of a website, so compare the actual day, month and year before treating two recordings as the same broadcast.

Check the chosen version from your viewing location

An Arabic programme title does not by itself establish subtitle options, and an English article about the show does not create an English soundtrack. Inspect the selected recording’s controls. Language requirements are especially important when a household wants both local reporting and programmes accessible to family members learning Arabic.

If viewing outside Lebanon, check the current official route and the exact programme rather than inferring availability from the homepage. For a different television service, ask for LBCI or Al Jadeed by name and provide one programme example. State whether the requirement is live television, a complete past episode or a short news item; each needs a different check.

Questions answered

How do I identify one edition of a Lebanese talk show?

Keep the broadcaster, Arabic title, guest or topic and broadcast date. Include the season if the official page gives one.

Is a latest-episodes page the live channel?

No. It may be an on-demand collection. Select the broadcaster’s live player when you want the running schedule.
