Use the current service name

The current Maltese Broadcasting Authority listing identifies TVM, TVM+ and TVMsport+, while TVMi’s schedule uses TVM+. Older lists can retain a TVMnews+ label. Match the current programme and official service entry rather than assuming an old saved name defines today’s schedule.

The plus sign is part of the name, not a price tier or an instruction to combine several channels. A general TVM mark does not identify which service is intended. For sport, keep the event, session or fixture as well as the channel and date.

TVMi is the programme platform route

TVMi publishes named programme pages and dated schedules. A programme item is different from the running television channel. For daily news, retain the specific edition and date; a title such as the evening bulletin can recur across many entries.

The official catalogue also contains drama, entertainment and other formats. A short programme description, a clip and a complete episode should not be treated as one resource. Check the item selected before diagnosing a missing video as an account or network fault.

Maltese and English need separate programme checks

Malta’s language context does not mean every programme provides interchangeable Maltese and English tracks. The soundtrack, subtitles and interface are separate attributes. An imported series or an original Maltese drama needs its actual version rather than an assumption based on the country name.

Retain the Maltese title where available. An English explanation can help identify the subject but should not replace the programme’s own name in a search or support report. For a series, include the episode; for news and magazines, keep the broadcast date.

Report the service, version and symptom

If the guide and picture differ, compare TVM or TVM+ at the same time and retain the programme actually shown. If an older label appears in a player, include it alongside the current official name rather than silently renaming the feed. If a track is missing, state the required language and actual item.

Official regulator and broadcaster references establish the identities described here. They do not establish a third-party account’s carriage, local support language or permission to distribute every Maltese service. A precise programme enquiry keeps those questions separate.
