Viewing location
TDM is a broadcaster with distinct television identities
Teledifusão de Macau’s official material distinguishes TDM Ou Mun, Canal Macau, TDM Info, TDM Sport and TDM Entertainment, while its live navigation also identifies the Macau satellite service. Keep the full displayed channel name in a viewing request. A general TDM entry does not resolve every television schedule within the organisation.
The broadcaster publishes local channel-number information in institutional documents. Those numbers belong to the stated distribution context and publication date. A numbered entry in another provider’s guide should still be matched by the exact service name rather than assumed to use the same position.
Portuguese and Chinese programme routes need the actual item
TDM’s site provides Chinese and Portuguese programme and news destinations, including a Portuguese television collection. It also identifies English News. These are useful clues for selecting a language-specific bulletin or programme, but website navigation is not proof that every video has selectable tracks in all those languages.
Keep the original title, language requirement and edition date together. A Chinese report and a Portuguese report about the same event can be separate productions. A translated headline can help explain the subject without providing the alternative-language recording a viewer needs. Inspect the audio and captions on the chosen item.
Assembly coverage and a news summary are different products
TDM’s live selection includes a route labelled for live meetings of Macao’s assembly. Someone following complete proceedings has a different requirement from a viewer wanting a short bulletin report about the outcome. Keep the meeting date and full-versus-summary requirement in your notes.
The site also publishes video programmes, radio programmes and news material. A speech excerpt or article can be useful context without reproducing a complete session. Check the player, recording title and duration before treating a search result as the entire event, especially when a familiar topic appears in several media formats.
Radio simulcasts and camera views do not replace a TV schedule
TDM’s history describes radio output and visual radio arrangements, while its homepage promotes slow live camera views of Macao. A camera view, a radio studio video and a scheduled television channel are different viewing choices. A page saying live is therefore not enough to identify the programme you expected.
For a live appointment, use the specific service’s dated programme information and Asia/Macau as the originating calendar location. For another provider, name Canal Macau, TDM Ou Mun or the relevant service and add a programme example. State whether the priority is a language edition, live proceedings or a recorded episode, then test that particular permitted viewing route from your location.
Questions answered
Does TDM on a list identify a language edition?
Not precisely. Name the service and bulletin or programme, then check its actual audio and captions.
Is a TDM live camera view the same as the television channel?
No. Camera views, radio visualisation, assembly coverage and scheduled television are different selections.
