Keep the Mauritanian service’s complete name
Télévision de Mauritanie's own site uses Al Mouritaniya and separately describes Al Mouritaniya2, the cultural Al Thakafiya service and the sports Al Riyadiya service. Preserve the full name when locating a programme. A cultural or sports word used in another country's television brand does not identify the Mauritanian service by itself.
The publisher associates the second service with young audiences and distinguishes culture and sport as separate identities. These are useful discovery descriptions, not a complete daily guide or proof that every service carries the same bulletin. Keep the country, channel and production together before comparing a broadcaster announcement with an entry in a receiver.
Named productions preserve national-language requirements
The broadcaster's programme descriptions name Lewlewal in Pulaar, Killen Xurandi in Soninké and ëttu ndaanaan in Wolof, among other productions. These titles give a household concrete language-specific search clues. A general Mauritanian flag or an Arabic or French website menu cannot express the same requirement.
Preserve the publisher's spelling and the edition date when searching for a cultural programme. Add the subject or guest when known rather than replacing the original title with a generic translation. A programme-level language description is not evidence that every public channel offers that language as a selectable audio track, nor that a short extract contains the complete edition.
French news, Focus and literary programming are different items
The site's French section publishes dated Journal en français entries and Focus editions, while its descriptions also identify La passion du livre with cultural television. A viewer looking for a particular interview, bulletin or literary discussion should keep that production name instead of treating all French-language material as one programme.
A dated bulletin and a longer thematic production can discuss the same issue while offering different context and guests. Check whether the result is the complete edition, an extracted report or a programme description. A clock in a bulletin title can help identify the edition without establishing that the recording is live or was uploaded at that time.
TDM transmission information is separate from programme entitlement
Télédiffusion de Mauritanie describes its television distribution platform and lists named services, including public and other channels. That is transmission context. It does not make TDM the editorial producer of every programme or establish a particular internet subscription's channel catalogue or territorial rights.
For an appointment explicitly expressed in Mauritanian local time, use Africa/Nouakchott with the full date before conversion abroad. For an archive, retain the original programme date separately from publication. Keep the broadcaster and actual distribution route when asking about reception. These primary references identify services and productions; they do not establish IPTV Europe carriage or universal access to every programme from every country.
Questions answered
Does Al Thakafiya or Al Riyadiya without a country identify the right service?
No. Preserve Al Mouritaniya and Mauritania because similar genre words occur in unrelated broadcasters’ names.
What helps find a Pulaar, Soninké or Wolof production?
Use its actual title, such as Lewlewal, Killen Xurandi or ëttu ndaanaan, plus the edition date and subject.
Does TDM’s channel list establish IPTV Europe availability?
No. A transmission-platform description and another provider’s catalogue or rights are separate matters.
