Oman Television’s channel roles are distinct
Oman’s Ministry of Information identifies the General Channel, Sports Channel, Oman Live and Oman Cultural Channel. These complementary services should be kept as individual entries when a household is choosing local news, cultural programmes or sport. A broad Oman TV label does not identify every schedule within the broadcaster.
Ayn’s programme filters use the corresponding channel identities alongside content categories. Keep the channel filter and the programme genre separate: choosing a documentary category is a way to find material, while choosing a live channel selects its current running order. One does not necessarily reproduce the other.
Ayn separates live channels from on-demand programmes
Ayn’s service guide describes access to live television and radio, and a separate on-demand route through search, programmes, channels and categories. If you want a named episode, use its programme record. If you want the broadcaster’s schedule as it unfolds, select the live service explicitly.
The platform includes both audio and video content. A radio production appearing in search should not be described as a television channel with a missing picture. Check the content type, title and duration before saving it to a watchlist, especially when a programme theme appears across more than one medium.
The catch-up feature has a stated recent-broadcast scope
The official service guide describes a feature for material broadcast during the preceding 48 hours, reached through the programme schedule. Treat that as a particular platform feature and check the current guide and selected channel. It is different from an unrestricted promise that every historical programme can always be replayed.
For an older production, use the on-demand archive and inspect the available episode or recording. A programme may have a searchable page without every instalment being present. Keep a date or episode number so that the catch-up item you choose can be distinguished from an older archive edition.
Offline viewing belongs to the app’s download workflow
Ayn documents downloading material through its application and opening it from the downloads area. That is a specific app workflow. Merely opening a web page or adding a programme to a list does not mean the recording has been saved for offline viewing.
Before travelling, use the current official app instructions and confirm that the chosen item is actually available in the downloads area on that device. For a different television provider, do not assume that an Oman channel entry also includes Ayn’s archive, reminders or downloads. Name the channel and programme, explain whether live or recorded access is required, and check the exact viewing route from your location.

Is Oman Live the same wording as every live Oman TV stream?
Oman Live is one of the ministry’s named television services. Keep that channel identity distinct from a generic description of live playback.
Does adding an Ayn programme to a list save it offline?
No. Follow the app’s download workflow and confirm the item in its downloads area. A list entry alone is not a saved recording.
