Viewing location
PBC’s official links distinguish several programme destinations
Palestine Broadcasting Corporation’s official-links page distinguishes Palestine Television, Palestine news, Palestine Live, programme collections and Voice of Palestine radio. Keep the full service name when making a viewing enquiry. The PBC organisation name or a general Palestinian category does not identify which of those destinations a viewer means.
The broadcaster’s satellite information explicitly uses Palestine LIVE as a receiver label for the live service. Retain that qualifier when matching a list instead of silently shortening every entry to Palestine TV. A named live service and an individual video carrying broadcaster branding are different kinds of selection.
A programme collection needs its title and episode
PBC’s programme directory includes productions such as Alam Dhaki, Hikayat Haneen and Qal al-Mathal, with episode or season information on many entries. Preserve the original Arabic title and recording link where possible. Transliteration can vary, and a translated topic is less precise than the programme’s own identity.
A cultural feature, an interview and a complete serial episode can appear together in a programme collection. Inspect the title, episode number and running time before saving a video for later. A written introduction can identify what the programme discusses without containing the full recording.
Live coverage, a bulletin and an excerpt have different dates
For a public event or proceedings, keep the event date and the requirement for complete coverage. A short news report about the outcome is a different item from the continuous transmission. A past recording can retain live wording after the event ends, so the current player state matters as well as the title.
For a bulletin, record its edition and date. For a programme interview, include the guest or subject. Those fields help distinguish a later update, a re-edited excerpt and the original complete edition, especially when several videos cover the same event.
Use official identity links and a stated local clock
The broadcaster’s links page provides a primary route for verifying its own social and programme identities. Follow those links when checking a publisher rather than relying on a similar logo or a reposted video. A public programme page does not by itself establish that another television provider distributes the complete service.
For a live appointment, retain the published date and stated originating location. International time-zone data distinguishes Asia/Gaza and Asia/Hebron, so use the appropriate basis for the particular listing instead of hard-coding a permanent numeric offset. If asking another provider, name the exact PBC television service, programme and viewing location, and distinguish live access from a recorded episode.
Questions answered
Does a PBC umbrella entry identify Palestine Live?
Not precisely. Keep the full service name, including LIVE when that is the intended channel.
Does a news report about proceedings contain the complete session?
No. Check the item’s title, date and duration, and choose the complete proceedings if that is required.
