SBC’s three television services have different described roles

Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation identifies SBC1 as its flagship television channel, SBC2 as a service including entertainment, education, archives and live National Assembly sessions, and SBC3 as primarily a special-events channel. These roles help narrow a viewing request without treating the services as interchangeable.

For a new programme, begin with the channel named in the announcement. For a parliamentary sitting or press conference, keep the event date as well. A description of a channel’s general role is a useful starting point, while the current programme notice establishes the particular event and planned service.

SBC+ is a digital platform around the channels and recordings

The broadcaster’s FAQ describes SBC+ as a streaming service with SBC channels and a video-on-demand catalogue of news, current affairs, music, archives and other productions. It is the platform identity, rather than another name for one television channel. Identify what you selected inside it.

A channel player follows the live running order; an archive item identifies a particular recording. Finding a programme category does not mean every historical episode is present. Inspect the title, edition date and running time before deciding that an item is the complete production you intended to watch.

National Assembly coverage differs from a report about proceedings

SBC’s description of SBC2 explicitly includes live National Assembly sessions. A viewer following a whole sitting has a different need from someone checking a news report about its outcome. Keep the sitting date and the full-versus-summary requirement in your notes.

For a past session, check the actual recording rather than assuming a news clip is the complete proceedings. Similarly, SBC3’s special-event role should not be turned into a promise that every public event appears there. Confirm the event announcement and whether the selected item is live, a rerun or an edited report.

Registration and device instructions belong to SBC+

The official FAQ gives a registration route and distinguishes app access from its web destination. Follow those present instructions and verify the publisher before installing. A channel badge in an unrelated player does not establish that it includes SBC+ accounts, archives or the same device features.

Keep television separate from Radyo Sesel and Paradise FM, which SBC identifies as radio services. For another provider, request the particular SBC television channel and programme, explain your viewing location and test the selected item. If language or captions are essential, inspect the actual programme rather than inferring its tracks from a Seychelles flag or the language of the website menu.

Questions answered

Is SBC+ a fourth SBC television channel?

It is the broadcaster’s digital streaming platform. Identify SBC1, SBC2, SBC3 or the recording selected inside it.

Does an Assembly news report contain the whole sitting?

Not necessarily. A report and complete proceedings are different items. Check the recording’s date, description and duration.
