RTS needs its country context

Radio-televizija Srbije uses the RTS identity in Serbia. RTS is also used in a different Swiss broadcaster context, so the three letters alone are not enough in an international list. Preserve Serbia and the complete service name when a programme or news bulletin is requested.

RTS 1, RTS 2, RTS 3 and RTS Svet appear as separate identities on the broadcaster’s current site. The numbered channel or Svet designation should not disappear when a list is translated or simplified. Related programmes can appear across the family without making the schedules identical.

RTS Planeta is a platform route

RTS presents Planeta as its multimedia internet platform. A platform entry can involve a live television service, a programme item or radio material. Opening one does not establish the same controls or account conditions for every other resource.

For a series, include its episode and version. For news or a recurring discussion programme, retain the date. A historical launch page can explain what Planeta was created to do, but its old channel totals, prices or device statements should not be copied as a current universal service offer. Use the current official route for the intended account.

Cyrillic and Latin navigation do not translate programme audio

The broadcaster publishes material in Serbian script contexts that can appear in Cyrillic or Latin navigation. A script change can help a reader locate the same programme name, but it does not create an alternative soundtrack or subtitle language.

When copying a title into a support message, retain its original form if possible and add a transliteration rather than replacing it with an unrelated English description. This is particularly helpful for a recurring programme with a short name or a series whose translated title differs between distributors.

Compare the intended edition

For a channel mismatch, write down RTS 1, RTS 2, RTS 3 or RTS Svet and what appeared at the relevant time. For an archive problem, include the programme and episode/date. For an account or playback error, preserve the actual message and stage of failure without publishing private URLs or passwords.

A Serbian-language programme from another broadcaster is not automatically the RTS edition. Likewise, a country or diaspora label does not establish programme rights on an unrelated subscription. Exact service and programme names make the viewing question useful without importing unsupported carriage claims.

Questions answered

Is Serbia’s RTS the same broadcaster as the Swiss RTS?

No. Keep the country and actual service identity.

Does switching between Cyrillic and Latin navigation change spoken audio?

No. A script choice and a programme soundtrack are separate.

Can RTS Svet be shortened to RTS 1?

Keep the Svet designation because it identifies a distinct service context.
