The region is part of the programme
SVT1 and SVT2 are television services; local news adds a regional layer to a programme listing. A Sweden-wide label cannot identify which local bulletin a viewer expects. Keep the region, bulletin date and programme together instead of treating every SVT entry as one national schedule.
This distinction is visible when a shared programme reaches a local-news segment. The earlier national material can be correct while the regional window differs. Record the point at which the difference appears; that is more useful than declaring that all Swedish television has the wrong feed.
Use SVT Play’s regional control on the actual surface
SVT’s current help explains selecting local news in relevant live programmes on SVT Play. Its instructions differ between web, mobile and television surfaces, and it records a specific limitation for the Google TV Streamer route. A regional control present in one app should therefore not be promised for every device.
Follow the guidance for the app you are actually using and save the intended region where that action is offered. If a programme does not use the personalized region, search for the local bulletin directly rather than assuming the saved preference must govern every editorial or news entry.
A later local-news video is a different resource
SVT explains that local news is also published on SVT Play after transmission and that selectable automatic text can appear with those videos. A later recording and the simultaneous linear broadcast can consequently have different text availability.
Automatic speech recognition is useful text support, but it can make mistakes. For an exact place name, quotation or learning exercise, compare the speech rather than treating every generated subtitle as an authoritative transcript. The subtitle language also does not replace the spoken programme audio.
Report the correct part of the chain
If the wrong local news arrives through a television distributor, SVT’s help distinguishes that distribution issue from SVT Play’s own regional selection. State which route you are using. Include the expected region, the region actually shown, the programme and the time.
For a subtitle concern, add whether it affects the live television window or the later Play video. Separating these observations prevents an account change, factory reset or unrelated video setting from being presented as the default solution to a regional-programme question.
