TV1 Samoa is a broadcaster, not a whole-country bundle

TV1 Samoa publishes an official online live page and programme collections. Start with the TV1 identity and the programme title rather than assuming that a general Samoa category represents every local broadcaster. Other television names appearing in regional distribution lists should be checked separately.

The broadcaster’s site uses the phrase “Broadcasting Samoa to the World” and offers an online subscription route. Use the present official subscription page to understand that product. Its existence does not establish the contents or terms of a different provider’s package, even if that provider lists a similarly named channel.

Tala Fou and entertainment programmes need an edition

TV1’s programme material identifies Tala Fou alongside productions such as Lali, Talanoa and Samoa Star Search. Keep the original programme name when searching. A translated description such as news, discussion or talent show can help explain the format but is less precise than the broadcaster’s own title.

For a bulletin, retain the date. For a competition or entertainment series, use the season and episode when supplied. A page about a pageant or performance may contain an announcement or excerpt, while the full event recording is a different viewing item. Inspect the running time and description before deciding that the link contains the whole programme.

A schedule page can be a place for future updates

TV1’s schedule-and-updates page says that daily schedules are uploaded when available and that announcements appear there. Read the actual current entry rather than treating the page heading as proof that a complete daily schedule has already been posted.

An old item labelled “today” can remain in a site archive. Its publication date matters more than that relative word. For a live appointment, look for a date-specific notice or ask the broadcaster through its published route. A programme’s former transmission slot should not be copied forward indefinitely.

Samoa and American Samoa have different calendar contexts

Samoa and American Samoa are separate viewing locations with different time-zone identifiers. For a Samoan local-time programme, Pacific/Apia is the appropriate location-based calendar choice; Pacific/Pago_Pago identifies American Samoa. Selecting the wrong place can change the programme’s calendar day as well as its time.

Keep the broadcaster’s original date beside your converted reminder. If following from New Zealand, Europe or elsewhere, make the conversion for that specific broadcast date. For playback, inspect the exact TV1 item from your actual location and verify the official publisher before installing an application. State your desired spoken language or captions separately; an English website menu is not a programme-language guarantee.

Questions answered

Is Samoa the same programme-clock location as American Samoa?

No. Use Pacific/Apia for Samoa and Pacific/Pago_Pago for American Samoa, with the actual programme date.

Does a programme page mean the live channel is open?

No. TV1 has separate live and on-demand destinations. Select the route that matches your viewing need.
