Before installation
- Compatible Cast receiver, supported sender application or Chrome, shared Wi-Fi.
- Media the application is permitted and able to cast.
The documented route
- Connect sender and receiver to the same Wi-Fi.
Both devices are on a discoverable local network.
- Open a Cast-enabled app or the documented Chrome route and select Cast.
A compatible receiver appears.
- Choose the named receiver and start a short authorized sample.
Video and sound play on the display.
- Check captions, audio and sender controls; stop the session when finished.
The cast result is assessed separately from native app behaviour.
When something differs
- No receiver listed: recheck same-network membership and receiver power before changing media credentials.
- Receiver visible but playback fails: check actual app/media support and error, not only Wi-Fi discovery.

Questions answered
Does installing a player activate service access?
No. Software installation and service access are separate. Use the source format supported by the chosen app and the details confirmed for your own account.
Should I use instructions for another platform?
Use the exact operating system and model. A similar brand name or product image does not make package formats and app stores interchangeable.
