Bluetooth can carry audio in opposite directions
The checked Hisense VIDAA U8.5 manual describes Bluetooth headphone or speaker output and a separate Music Sharing feature that plays a mobile device through the TV speakers. Those routes have opposite directions and different selected outputs.
Identify the listening goal before pairing. A phone sending music to the television is not evidence that the TV is sending programme sound to headphones, and neither action proves video mirroring.
Use the model’s supported route
For external Bluetooth listening, follow the TV’s Bluetooth device pairing and select the documented audio output. Use the accessory maker’s own pairing instructions. The manual warns that capability and compatibility vary by model and territory.
For supported Music Sharing, the manual uses the TV’s Bluetooth Music Sharing control and requires TV Speaker as its audio output. Follow the exact model’s embedded guide if its menu differs from the dated U8.5 example.
Check the intended direction audibly
Use a short familiar audio item and confirm where it is heard. Then stop it and test the TV’s ordinary programme route separately. This prevents a phone connection being mistaken for working television headphone output.
Keep volumes moderate when changing direction. A phone, TV and headphones can retain different volume states, so a newly active destination may not start at the level expected.
Retain the exact hardware scope
The source is a Malaysian manufacturer manual with explicit model and regional limits. It is not a universal VIDAA capability list. Check the complete TV model before buying an accessory for either route.
For support, state the desired direction, selected TV output and accessory model. This is more precise than saying only that Bluetooth connects but “casting” fails.
Questions answered
Does Bluetooth Music Sharing mirror phone video?
No. The documented feature concerns audio through TV speakers.
Does every VIDAA TV provide both routes?
Do not assume so. The manual explicitly limits features by model and region.
