Choose the actual sharing task
VIDAA’s support answer identifies Content Sharing as a requirement for its mobile app’s Media function. Hisense’s VIDAA U8.5 manual separately describes sharing authorized media and mirroring a screen. These functions should not be treated as interchangeable names for installing a TV player.
Decide whether you want to send a personal video, browse media exposed by another device or mirror an interface. The sending device and TV must support that specific route.
Use the path for the actual version
VIDAA’s generic support answer shows System, Application Settings, Content Sharing. The checked Hisense U8.5 manual uses a Connection and Mobile Device Connection route. Those are version-scoped examples; combining them into one invented universal menu would mislead.
Consult the TV’s embedded manual and enable the feature it actually provides. Keep the TV and sender on the required local network, then choose the intended television name on the sender.
Keep scope and privacy visible
Only expose the media intended for the TV through the sender’s documented sharing controls. Discovery of a computer should not become a reason to share its entire storage.
This page uses VIDAA support and a dated Malaysian Hisense manual with model and territory limits. It does not promise identical menus or compatibility across all European VIDAA televisions.
Questions answered
Is Content Sharing the same as mirroring the whole phone?
No. The manual distinguishes media sharing from screen mirroring.
