acontra+: account setup, rentals and the cinema-ticket benefit

A television player, an online subscription and a participating-cinema voucher have separate workflows.

Set up the account on a supported purchase surface

acontra+’s help distinguishes its television applications from the website and mobile purchase routes. It says registration, rentals and subscription signup are completed through the website or iOS/Android apps, while smart-TV apps play content acquired through those routes. A television asking for credentials is not necessarily a full remote-controlled checkout.

Create or inspect the intended account through the documented surface, then sign in on the television. Keep the actual email and purchase confirmation with the setup. A successful app installation is separate from completing account verification and recognising a paid title.

A rental and the subscription catalogue are different choices

The service offers both individually acquired films and a subscription selection. A title visible in a shop or search result should not automatically be read as included in the plan. Inspect its actual viewing label before accepting a rental charge, particularly if you already have a membership.

Keep the film’s title, year and version when comparing access. A theatrical release announcement, an online rental and a subscription stream can be related to the same work while having different windows. A saved favourite is also different from either a paid transaction or an eligible completed download.

Premium’s cinema ticket has its own conditions

The published Premium conditions describe a monthly ticket benefit for eligible A Contracorriente Films titles at participating cinemas. They specify personal use, limited validity, non-accumulation and availability at the cinema. This is not an unrestricted voucher for every film at every venue.

Before planning a visit, inspect the current participating-cinema list and eligible releases. Retain the redemption instructions sent for the actual benefit. The ticket’s own window and first-issue conditions are separate from the ability to stream a programme at home; starting an online trial is not proof that a usable cinema ticket has already been issued.

Match the application to the intended screen

The official help provides separate routes for mobile, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, LG, Samsung and Chromecast. Those are different application or casting environments. A television manufacturer’s name alone is not a complete model or operating-system check, and the mobile app should not be installed as a substitute for every television platform.

For support, identify the actual film, purchase type, account and screen. If mobile viewing works but the television remains locked, retain that comparison. If the problem concerns a cinema voucher, provide the benefit and participating venue instead of treating it as an interrupted stream. Those distinctions make the question actionable without inventing a universal film or ticket entitlement.

Questions answered

Can I assume the smart-TV app performs all registration and rental purchases?

No. The published help directs those actions to the website or supported mobile apps.

Does the Premium ticket apply to every film at every cinema?

No. Its conditions specify eligible films, participating venues and a limited personal-use window.
