Benshi: film recommendations, child profiles and streaming access

An age recommendation and a free member account are different from a paid viewing entitlement.

A recommendation service also has a streaming selection

Benshi presents film discovery for children with age-based recommendations, alongside a subscription viewing service. Its terms distinguish browsing, a member account and a subscriber. Reading a film’s recommendation page does not by itself establish that the account can start the full film.

Begin with the actual work and the offered viewing state. A guide can help a parent choose a film even when the relevant screening or streaming route is separate. Keep the title and production year when a recommendation covers a familiar story with several adaptations.

Use child profiles as an organisational aid

The terms describe children’s profiles with an identifier and age information, along with declared films seen and related badges. They specifically describe recording viewed films on a declarative basis. A badge should therefore not be treated as an independent record that the child watched an entire film through the application.

Choose an age-appropriate recommendation with the child’s needs in mind rather than treating a category as a universal suitability guarantee. A film’s subject, pacing and length can matter as much as the displayed age guidance. Profiles organise discovery; they are different from the equipment signed in or a subscription’s active streams.

Inspect the Samsung purchase route before paying again

Benshi’s published terms distinguish using a website-created account in the Samsung television app from a subscription purchased through a Samsung account, which can have a restricted viewing route. This is a concrete reason to retain the billing provider rather than assuming that every television purchase unlocks the website automatically.

If a film remains locked on another screen, inspect the actual purchase confirmation first. A Samsung television app, a Samsung-billed offer and a direct Benshi membership are related but different facts. Repeating the purchase through another storefront should not be the first account-recognition test.

Offline viewing belongs to eligible app content

The current homepage promotes app downloads for offline viewing, while the terms describe limited local saves for subscribers. A recommendation or personal list is not a completed copy. Inspect the actual supported app’s saved film and offered availability before relying on it for travel.

The terms also identify a defined French territorial service scope, which is different from a French-language interface appearing on a website abroad. For assistance, retain the film, account route, viewing location and exact device. A recommendation without playback, a restricted storefront membership and a local download that no longer opens need different next steps.
