Save for later and restart now are different actions
My List helps you find a programme again. Live TV Restart deals with a broadcast that has already begun. One is a discovery tool and the other changes where a supported live viewing session starts. Adding a programme to My List does not itself create a recording or an offline download.
If the beginning is missing, first identify which mode you selected. A live feed, a restarted programme and an on-demand episode can expose different controls. Keep the date and exact programme with the report rather than referring only to the channel logo.
Read what Channel 4+ changes
The optional Channel 4+ upgrade concerns eligible benefits in the streaming experience. The current developer listing explicitly treats Watch Live differently and allows contractual exceptions or programme promotions. It should not be presented as a promise that every advertisement on every surface disappears.
When an unexpected interruption appears, note whether it is inside Watch Live, an eligible on-demand programme or a promotional message. This distinction matters before diagnosing the subscription. A live commercial break is not automatically evidence that a paid account has failed to sign in.
Account and programme identity come before device resets
Confirm that the app is using the intended Channel 4 account and that the selected title is the correct series, season and episode. A device with several people using it can display a different account state from the phone where the upgrade was arranged.
If the problem is a missing upgrade benefit, retain the actual purchasing route and receipt privately. If the account state is correct but a particular video fails, record the model, app version and playback error. Billing and playback need different evidence.
Prepare mobile viewing on the mobile app
The developer listing describes programme downloads for mobile viewing. That feature should be checked on the actual title and device, rather than inferred from a download symbol shown in an old television tutorial.
Before relying on a downloaded episode, confirm that it is stored and that the intended account can open it. Keep offline viewing separate from the live schedule and from My List. The three features solve different problems and should not be used as substitutes in a support report.
