The full product name changes the access route
Cinefil WOWOW Plus is a Japanese Prime Video subscription. WOWOW’s own support explicitly says that joining WOWOW does not grant access to it. The similarly named linear WOWOW Plus channel and WOWOW On Demand are also separate services under the publisher’s explanation.
Begin with the complete name in the programme offer or receipt. If the item says Cinefil WOWOW Plus, opening the ordinary WOWOW member area is not the documented viewing route. Conversely, a programme in the linear schedule is not proof of its presence in the Prime selection.
Use the publisher’s monthly selection as an index
The Cinefil page links a current monthly lineup PDF and then directs viewing through Prime Video. It covers drama, cinema, animation and concert material. That makes the lineup useful for finding a work, while the individual Prime item remains the place to identify the offered episode or film.
For a series, retain its season with the title. The reviewed page advertises subtitle and dubbed versions of Astrid et Raphaëlle. A series name alone is therefore an incomplete choice if a particular season or language presentation matters. Confirm both before starting a long episode.
Keep a broadcaster membership out of the channel decision
The published viewing route opens Prime Video and registers the named Cinefil subscription there. Its cancellation FAQ points to the Amazon account. This guide does not reproduce a promotional price or trial duration, because the account’s actual offer is the relevant purchase decision.
If you already pay WOWOW, establish which product you want before adding another subscription. Keep the two confirmations distinct. The publisher’s explicit separation lets you answer the account question first, instead of interpreting the same word in two logos as a universal membership.
