Choose Vault or the separate HISTORY viewing route
HISTORY Vault presents an on-demand selection of HISTORY series and documentaries. Its programme-help article says new seasons are generally added after their network run and does not promise an exact date. A recently broadcast episode is therefore not automatically missing because of a failed Vault subscription.
The same article distinguishes the HISTORY app’s TV-provider route for current programming, where the package must include the HISTORY channel. A Vault subscription and a linked television package answer different access questions. Identify the season and viewing product before purchasing another plan or applying the wrong credentials.
A partner-channel subscription stays with that provider
The television-help article explicitly distinguishes direct HISTORY Vault access from subscriptions through platforms such as Prime Video Channels, The Roku Channel, Apple TV Channels or cable/satellite providers. It says those viewers must use the specific service where they subscribed.
A shared logo does not make the accounts interchangeable. On a Fire TV or Roku, inspect whether you opened the direct Vault application or the platform’s own channel experience. Retain the actual receipt for billing questions and the title/device for playback questions rather than assuming the hardware brand identifies the purchase.
Download on the supported mobile route
The dedicated offline article allows downloads on supported phones and tablets while describing the website as streaming-only. Installing an app, adding a programme to a list and completing a mobile video download are separate stages. A desktop browser’s video playing successfully does not establish a local offline copy.
Before leaving a connection, inspect the actual saved episode in the application. Keep its season identity and available version with your plans. Do not expect a television’s native app to expose every storage control offered on a phone simply because both surfaces can stream the same series.
Account changes can reset saved videos
The missing-download help says saved videos depend on continued Vault availability and warns that signing out or reinstalling the application resets downloads. That makes a reinstall a meaningful action when you are relying on stored programmes. It should not be the first unexamined step immediately before a trip without a connection.
If an item disappears, distinguish a programme leaving the selection from a local reset after signing out. Give support the specific episode, device and preceding action. A new season not yet added, a partner-channel login mismatch and an erased local download are three different issues, even though each can look like a missing video.
Questions answered
Does Vault guarantee a newly broadcast HISTORY season is already available?
No. Its help describes later additions after the network run and does not give an exact arrival date.
Can reinstalling the app remove my offline videos?
Yes. HISTORY Vault says signing out or reinstalling resets downloads, which then need to be retrieved again.
