Use the current name
Videotron announced that Club illico and Vrai would become illico+ on 23 October 2024. An old bookmark or saved catalogue logo may still use the earlier name. This guide follows the current service instead of presenting those historical labels as separate new subscriptions.
Begin with the subscription you actually hold. A Helix television arrangement, an illico television arrangement and a direct app subscription do not all enter through the same account screen. Find the bill or account page that identifies yours before trying several passwords on unrelated sign-in forms.
Choose the matching web route
Videotron’s current help directs Helix TV subscribers to the Helix TV web app and its Browse section. For an illico TV plan or the standalone illico+ app, it points to the illico+ web platform. The page also confirms that a direct subscription is possible without being a Videotron TV customer.
Use those distinctions to organise your own bookmarks. Label the bookmark with the subscription route, not simply television. A person with two services can otherwise return to a valid login page that is wrong for the entitlement they are trying to use.
Check the receiver rather than just the television
The support page offers receiver-specific access instructions and a terminal-model check. A television connected to a box is displaying the box’s service; the television brand alone does not tell you whether that box supports illico+.
Before replacing equipment, identify the terminal model and compare it with the current official list. If an app route is already available under your subscription, inspect that option as well. This is an access check, not a recommendation to buy new hardware or a claim that every older receiver can be updated.
Watch the offer and the season list
The current help includes an April 2026 change affecting illico+ included in Helix TV plans, so an older ad-free assumption can be wrong. Read the offer now attached to your account. Keep plan advertising terms separate from whether a particular season is available.
Videotron explains that season availability can change with rights and release timing. Before beginning a long series, inspect the season and episode list you can actually open. If a season is missing, ask about that specific series and season; changing credentials cannot establish catalogue rights that the service does not currently hold.
