A live channel opens at its current point
Pluto TV’s scheduled channels follow a running order. Joining one can place you partway through a programme. That is different from choosing an on-demand film and starting the offered version at the beginning.
If you want a specific work from the start, inspect the separate on-demand selection. A live schedule entry does not prove that the same work is also available there. Keep the selected viewing mode with the question before expecting a restart or replay control.
Free viewing is advertising-supported
Advertising is part of Pluto TV’s free streaming model. A commercial break can therefore be expected in the relevant viewing experience rather than evidence that a paid subscription was not recognised.
Do not confuse a Pluto TV app with a payment for another service shown in an advertisement. The channel, a promoted programme and an external offer are different things. Use the actual programme and service identity before making a purchase or entering another account.
A profile organises viewing rather than owning a recording
A free profile can synchronise favourites, a watchlist and viewing progress. Those are useful personal functions, but they do not turn a live broadcast or a listed work into a permanent private video file.
A favourite channel helps you return to the same stream. A watchlisted film points to an on-demand item. Continuing a programme concerns a previously started item. Naming which function is missing is more useful than treating all saved information as one kind of recording.
Use the current country offer
Channels and programmes depend on the service’s current offer in the relevant country. A line-up described for another market should not be assumed to be identical. Keep the exact channel or title with the location context when it matters.
For playback help, record the device, viewing mode and message. If the item is absent, first distinguish a country collection difference from a failed stream. The free profile, scheduled channel and on-demand catalogue are connected experiences but do not have identical roles.
