The programming is an editorial selection

Tënk describes a documentary-focused platform with films selected by programmers. The current programme is a selection to explore, not simply a permanent shelf of every documentary ever shown. A subject, filmmaker or curatorial context can provide a useful route into it.

Look at the actual work and its current viewing option. A film discussed in an older programme can remain relevant editorially even when its subscription window has ended. A recommendation is not the same thing as a current entitlement.

A film can move from subscription programming to rental

The FAQ distinguishes the subscription programme from a rental offer for many documentaries that have left it. Finding an older film does not necessarily mean the existing subscription covers that transaction in the same way as a currently programmed work.

Inspect the rental label on the selected film before paying. Keep the individual viewing period with that transaction rather than assuming that a monthly subscription date and a rental expiry are the same clock.

Individual and collective access can differ

The official FAQ distinguishes the rental route for individual subscriptions and access-code arrangements from collective access through documentary library portals. A person arriving through an institution should not automatically expect every individual rental control.

Name the actual access route when asking about a missing option. This is more useful than treating an institutional portal and a direct personal account as interchangeable simply because the film is associated with Tënk.

Choose the actual subtitle version

The FAQ explains how to inspect and change the subtitles offered in the player. The language options shown for the work are the relevant reference; a broad claim about the catalogue does not establish every track on every documentary.

For a useful report, name the film, access route and selected language. Distinguish an unavailable rental, an ended programming window and a playback error. This helps preserve the platform’s curatorial value without inventing unlimited access to its full history.
